I may have survived fashion week, but my feet didn’t. I do like to complain about shoe discomfort. Like my husband has said again and again, “You are at the comfort stage of life.” Fine, I accept that. At least I know that about myself and can plan out my life accordingly, but Fashion Week is the exception. The heels had to come out, and I had to prepare to be in them for 14 hours a day.
Gucci’s fall shoes are gorgeous, so much so that this could be one-stop shopping for the season’s essentials. They’re very well made, and while not Frugal Snob friendly, the shoes are priced better than those from other established brands (except for the python booties – they also come in leathericon for only $895, though!).
I pretty much lived in mules during the ‘90s, and now they’re making a comeback! I’ve kept some old Tod’s over the years for posterity. Tina and I had the same pair that we would wear to death, then buy another pair…of the same shoe. They were that great!
What are your 4th of July plans?? I’m hosting a BBQ/pool party, so I have to make sure I’m dressed for the occasion (a.k.a. patriotically and comfortably – hosting calls for a lot of rushing around). Just because the look is casual doesn’t mean it can’t be fun, though.
