The Snobs are in NYC! See what they’re up to in the Big Apple, and more importantly, which bags they’re carrying…
Behold: the decadent of the decadent. What could be more luxurious than a tote deeply understated in shape, set in polished crocodile? One that’s deep emerald green crocodile. While everyone knows that Azzedine Alaïa knows his way around a mean laser-cut perforation, I believe sumptuous skin combined with a subtle silhouette is where he really shines.
On April 24th, Moynat made its stateside debut at Dover Street Market New York. It’s hard to believe that while Moynat was founded in 1849 (right in time with the onset of railroad travel), this marks the launch of the Parisian house’s first store in the U.S. The must-see shop will be carrying a selection of Moynat’s most classic styles, along with several exclusive pieces made especially for the occasion.
We let loose come summertime, but our wallets need not follow suit. It’s the season when Frugal Snob options are aplenty, especially the beachy ones, and I intend to take full advantage. Nothing says summer more than raffia, and Mar y Sol knows a thing or two about that.
It’s been a little while since we’ve covered a Zagliani bag, and I can confidently say their new Fall 2014 collection is most definitely making me sit up and take notice once again. Recently appointed Creative Director Giorgia Scarpa (formerly of Prada and Dior), now on her third collection for the Italian luxury house, is hitting her stride. As they say, third time’s a charm.
Céline’s new summer tote is as unsurprisingly fabulous as it is surprisingly impractical. On second thought, maybe its high level of impracticality isn’t so shocking; Céline bags are not exactly known for their functionality.
