I pretty much lived in mules during the ‘90s, and now they’re making a comeback! I’ve kept some old Tod’s over the years for posterity. Tina and I had the same pair that we would wear to death, then buy another pair…of the same shoe. They were that great!
Like father, like son! There must have been some shoptalk at family dinner (wouldn’t you love to be a fly on the wall at that house??) because this season both of the Rossi men are creating covetable flared back pumps. The Rossis are too talented – Gianvito’s their third generation of shoe designing genius.
With fashion, you really do need a playbook, and for the fall season, mine always includes gorgeous metallics. Obviously it’s not a look you can wear head to toe (you don’t want to walk around looking like a suit of armor!). That’s the beauty of it, though – a little sparkle goes a long way. And don’t reserve metallics solely for evening events…
The line between graphic blacks and whites gets a little murkier as we strut our way into fall. While a pair of dark booties is a must this season, there’s no reason to go with anything too basic. A spattering of geometric cutouts will elevate the look from blah to bombshell in a matter of inches…
As much as I love cobalt, it’s one of those colors that you only need a little of to make a statement. Anything more than that would cause serious shock and awe (and not the good kind). You pack a bigger punch with a jolt of electric color rather than a full-on current, so choose just one piece to layer with…
Giuseppe Zanotti’s had some wickedly good booties lately, and these gold plaque boots are no exception. Forget metal cap toes – you want full shields. He’s always toying with where to place them, and with this incarnation, they’re front and center. If you catch people staring, odds are they might be checking out their reflections!
