You can’t rationalize indulging in every trend that pops up, but considering lace-making has been around since ancient times, you’re pretty much guaranteed to get a lot of wear out of the style. And it doesn’t hurt that we saw it grace the Fall and Spring catwalks. So what’ll it be? Pumps? Booties? Flats? I’ll take them all! Lace up your shoes with these romantic picks…
From long to short, flat to high, celebs have been sporting all kinds of boots this fall. From the uber trendy over-the-knee statement-makers to understated ankle boots, there’s something for everyone. For those looking for something, trendy, yet versatile, ankle boots are the way to go.
I may have survived fashion week, but my feet didn’t. I do like to complain about shoe discomfort. Like my husband has said again and again, “You are at the comfort stage of life.” Fine, I accept that. At least I know that about myself and can plan out my life accordingly, but Fashion Week is the exception. The heels had to come out, and I had to prepare to be in them for 14 hours a day.
Gucci’s fall shoes are gorgeous, so much so that this could be one-stop shopping for the season’s essentials. They’re very well made, and while not Frugal Snob friendly, the shoes are priced better than those from other established brands (except for the python booties – they also come in leathericon for only $895, though!).
This is the most exquisite line of shoes I’ve seen in a long time. Maison des Talons designer Susanne Villiger’s awe-inspiring accents are like nothing you’ve seen before. I borrowed the Swarovski-encrusted Les Tinettes for Fashion Week (the only time I’m grateful to be a runway sample size 10!) and wore them to the Socialyte Blogger Awards.
Celebs have been pairing their shortest shorts with boots lately. Is this a hot look for the end of summer or a sloppy way to bring it to an end? You decide.
