I have mixed feelings about this hobo. Halloween and costumes go hand-in-hand, but that doesn’t mean your jewelry has to follow suit. Have fun with the holiday’s themes – just do it with pieces that you can also wear outside the month of October! Orange and black, skulls (of the McQueen variety), and creepy crawlies are all on the table. Which will you be sporting for the witching hour?
You know how I feel about wristlets – I’m all about having freedom. But now it seems a boring leather strap is a waste of an accessorizing opportunity. Viktor & Rolf kick it up at least five notches with not just a cuff but one with a freaking alligator tied up in a bow!! As should all alligators be when presented to me.
A basic black bag? It’s never that simple with Marni. Designer Consuelo Castiglioni takes one of the season’s biggest trends – houndstooth – and gives it a whole new look. We liked it on Marni’s printed clutch, but this style is so much more creative. The cut-outs look like enlarged pixels!
Covering up for fall and winter tends to annoy the fashion crowd. Who wants to conceal a great outfit? The secret is to make your coat the main event, and with outerwear printed and paneled like this, you should have no trouble doing just that. Each coat strikes the balance between sophistication and daily wearability. Which one will you be cozying up in this season?
