My dad’s favorite toy is his Maserati….who could blame him? There’s nothing like driving top down, down an open road. If only my hair looked as fabulous as that of Rachel Zoe’s models when windswept! (and my dad trusted me enough to drive his car…).
The hype around Marc Jacobs’ makeup has turned out to be very justified. This weekend, I tried out the Mod eye palette and mascara gifted by Tina and was instantly excited.
I’m a little obsessed with braids at the moment and there were so many on the runway. Rodarte’s ready-to-wear collection was one of the more unfortunate ones I thought. It was inspired by L.A. and kind of a big hot mess. The hair however was fantastic! Working for John Frieda, Odile Gilbert created a “rocker princess with a cool, “undone” texture.”
When I spoke with Gucci Westman backstage at Rag & Bone she told me that this season was the first time the brand had opted for a colored lip. She was quick to point out however that the Rag & Bone girl would never wear gloss so it was kept matte and a vibrant orange was used.
I met the founders of Fresh a few weeks ago to check out their latest launch, Fresh Creme Ancienne Ultimate Nourishing Honey Mask ($130). Despite being bought by LVMH, the two founders, Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg, are still fiercely involved which is always refreshing to see.
It’s happened on more than a few occasions that I’ve been out with friends and instead of ordering a glass of wine or champagne, I’ll have some tea. My vices are bread and sugar and have never included alcohol – even when I was in college. I’m a tea addict however and it’s so fantastic for not only your health, but your skin (though I realize when you’re out it might not be the best beverage of choice, but I’ve never been one to give into peer pressure!).
