Last season Tod’s had the Roxy nylon bag (which had to be renamed for legal reasons so now it’s called the Luna) that became an instant fashion item after Cameron Diaz was seen around town with it. They extended their entire nylon collection based on this popularity, including this hobo. Does this not look like a school bag to you? This model is trying her best to be chic but she looks like she is stopping in front of her locker to flirt with the high school quarterback on her way to chemistry class. I guess this was a business decision to do these nylon bags but they need to be concerned about the long term effects this will do to the company image. Do they really want the younger generation to identify the name Tod’s with crap like this? This is a real disappointment because you know how much we love Tod’s. At eLuxury for $875.
I’m a little confused. It’s called the Luna? I knew they changed the name, but the Tod’s SA i spoke with last weekend told me the style was called the “PASHMY” (not sure how to spell it but thats how it sounded). I adore the messenger style Cameron wore, but I agree this new style is blah…
I think Prada is the only lux brand that can do nylon and get away with it.
