What Brit Brit should consider next time on the red carpet:
It’s no secret that Britney Spears has had a few rough patches in her styling past. There’s the notorious pig tail-gate of 1999 which undoubtedly sent Brit into a downward fashion spiral. From there on there were pleather body suits, top hats, and cut offs sans shoes. Today in the life and style of Spears, she wore the above to the Fox 2012 Programming Presentation Post-Show Party at Wollman Rink on May 14, 2012 in New York City. It’s no secret the star loves the figure hugging looks and attention grabbing hem-lines, but she needs to incorporate balance and an element of mystery to her looks (the exact opposite of her Hit Me Baby One More Time debut). If I was the star’s stylist, I would have put her in a sexy (yet classy) Dion Lee red hot dress and some sexy Gucci cracked-leather and suede sandals
for an eye-catching yet appropriate look. It also mixes textures and gives the outfit a bit more depth than the strappy black sandals and (clearly uncomfortable) purple low-cut short dress.
Brit is a beautiful girl with many assets to showcase. She just has to try to showcase them on different occasions, not all at once.
