Marni Python-Flower Pochette: Freshly Picked Python

This simple envelope-style bag by Marni piqued my interest when it was plain and unadorned, and now it’s been turned up to another level. With the addition of gorgeous floral python appliqués, it’s beyond and I can’t get enough. Except I unfortunately can’t get it shipped to California. But when there’s a will, there’s a way!

The thoughtful sprinkling of pink petals is just enough paleness to put you in the swing of spring, while a body of smooth black leather, along with forest-green python stems, keeps the look as neutral and versatile as bags get. Speaking of versatility, it converts beautifully from a shoulder style to a clutch; woven through loops on the interior of the flap, the thin strap can be tucked completely out of the way, with no hardware or attachments on view. Clearly, it’s all about the embellishments in this case.
