One of these is a bag and the other is a cake! The Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong made this cake (the one on the right of course) because the Histore is so huge over there. This bag is generally pretty good, I just don’t like that it is heavy with the braiding. The braided handle is just too chunky and thick and seems out of proportion for an otherwise ladylike shape. The pocket details and flap front are all great details that I love. This is also a good size bag so it would be great for work because you can actually fit entire folders in there. Now the question is, what flavor is the cake and is it yummy? Valentino Handbags at Saks for $1695. Thanks to Bag Snob fan Angela Leung in Hong Kong for sending the cake pic!
This looks really heavy.. And the gloss on the bag is a tad barbie.. I rather have the cake and eat it.. literally.
I doubt they’re going to actually be eating the cake. Though I am surprised in how detailed it looks!
Personally, the bag would look better if were a different color, definitely. And I think I’m totally over the patent trend going on. Too much shiny is NOT a good thing!
heehee… i think the cake is a better fake than some fake handbags i’ve seen on the street!
I love the red leather version of the bag =) Thanks for posting!
Waow! I’m loving the cake bag! What an ingenious marketing tactic! Valentino should do that worldwide.
LOOKS GREAT
