Chanel and pearls go hand in hand like bread and butter but translating the classic look into a bag is no easy task. Pearls are generally too “overdone” to look chic on a bag but this ultra soft lambskin flapbag with black resin pearls is an edgy take on a very classic style! There is another style that I actually like better, it’s a tote style with the same pearls (jump for photo), it looks less fussy without the flap and is also bigger and more functional. Large shoulder bag is 12″x12″/30cmx30cm $3,395 at Bergdorf Goodman, email Eddie Curtis and he’ll hook you up no matter where you live!
What do you think of the black resin pearls and gunmetal chain?
Luckily these bags don´t shout out loud Chanel. Resin pearls fit well with the chain. Both are ok, but the larger one would fit me better.
Even though I personally prefer smaller bags, in this case the tote seems to fit the pearl studding better. There’s too much going on for a smaller bag. I would however be worried to damage the pearls, but a Chanel should be handled with care anyway 🙂
I have the bigger tote style, and I love it. It’s soft and mushy and still classy and elegant…
J’adore Chanel, this is gorgeous
I like the tote. Pearls make it pretty cool.

pearls have a dressed-up feel to them. I feel the pearls work better with the smaller bag. the tote should’ve been studded instead!
One word: Resin?
…
I don’t quite know how I feel about that.
The resin pearls looks elegant on the small bag but looks cheap on the tote bag.
I can assure you, Anne, there is nothing cheap looking about the tote bag…
These resin pearls make Chanel look cheap and tacky. And anything that a Kardashian would carry (namely Khloe), I would hope a true lady wouldn’t carry.
If we worried about looking cheap because a Kardashian might carry it then we might as well stop shopping.
sorry….i just don’t like both of them at all….
No, thanks.I’m a Chanel girl, but this isn’t working for me.
