Beauty Trend Report: Gucci’s Sexy Eyes

Despite the fact that Frida Giannini was inspired by sportswear for her collection this season, it wouldn’t be Gucci without serious sex appeal. To complement the designer’s mesh tops and sheer bras, Pat McGrath opted for a shimmery golden-brown shadow with V-corners for a dewy take on the cat eye. Black and brown mascara were both used (love that…) to tie into the eyes, and brows were kept full and lips bare-looking. As for hair, the key was controlled volume so hair pro Luigi Murenu turned to  Kérastase Lift Vertige, which he applied to models’ roots, and the brand’s Mousse Bouffant, which he applied throughout before blow-drying. Hair was then wrapped in small sections from the mid-length down to create the loose waves. Elixir Ultime for Colour Treated Hair was used for shine – one of my favorite products; when I use it, though, I put it on damp hair to help detangle.
