Iman in Lanvin “Malachite” Bag

Isn’t Iman just too gorgeous for words? Mrs. David Bowie just oozes class and elegance–and the same goes for her wardrobe. I often see Iman out and about in Soho or at a red carpet function, and I’m constantly amazed at how real she dresses; she’s never unapproachable nor intimidating with her sartorial choices and it really goes a long way to keeping her one of the most well-liked women in the fashion industry. At last week’s New York premiere of “The Lazarus Effect” hosted by HBO at The Museum of Modern Art, Iman simply stunned in a black Lanvin ruffled dress straight off the Spring 2010 runway. What really caught my eye, however, was the black patent leather “malachite” bag (also from Spring 2010) with green resin handle and gold chain strap that she toted around. Divine, isn’t it? It’s such a fabulous take on an evening bag–the unexpected details on a chain strap coupled with the green resin (lightweight) handle make for such a unique alternative to the boring box clutch. Yes, it’s a lot of bag to carry, but for a woman as confident and as solid as Iman, it’s a walk in the park. Love!
