Aside from my laptop, my desk always has a small flower arrangement and an array of fragrances. Like most, I’m on my butt typing away at a computer most the day and every few hours I need a little pick-me-up. It’s tempting to reach for cookies, which I do often enough, but every so often I’ll take a whiff of a fragrance to get me over one of the day’s humps. I have a few bottles on my desk which I vary every so often (I’m incredibly fortunate to have a best friend who works in the perfumery business at IFF), and one of the latest faves is Infusion D’Iris Eau de Toilette. I was sent a sample of the just launched scent a few weeks ago and it follows suit aesthetically where the other Infusion fragrances left off (love Tubereuse!). The bottle is simple, vintage-inspired, and the glass is frosted with a white stopper that looks beautiful against the pale green color of the fragrance.
The fragrance was first launched three years ago and is now a permanent addition to the line. Iris is one of the “it” notes of the fall season and has been popping up in a number of fragrances (just wrote about Crabtree & Evelyn’s Iris last week), here Iris is blended with neroli, lily of the valley, vioet, heliotrope, cedar, and galbanium. In addition to 50ml ($65), 100ml ($85), and 200ml ($115) bottles, there’s also Body Lotion and Shower Gel (each $85 for 100ml).
