I’ve been noticing that Lavender products are getting prominent displays these days and I can only attribute this to the anxiety surrounding the economy and the presidential elections since people often use Lavender as a sleep-aid and for relaxation purposes. So, in light of this, I thought I’d highlight some that I’ve been using in response to mild stress..mostly they’re products that let you take a deep breath and enjoy a comfortable moment to yourself which is all we need sometimes!! Clarins’ Santal ($46), is fab for those comfortable with using a face treatment oil — I’m all for mixing luxury with drugstore, but when it comes to splashing oil on your face stick with a trustworthy brand like Clarins or risk unfortunate breakouts (and that will reeeally get you stressed!). Santal is formulated with lavender oil so it helps sooth and calm while moisturizing your face. More after the Jump!
I love coming home to a fresh, clean smelling apartment, but for those times when I don’t have time for a thorough cleaning (and even for those times when I do…), Moments Waterbead Diffusers in Lavender and White Tea by Upper Canada Soap ($25) are great for an alternative to regular diffusers. It’s made with soft jelly-like beads which you mix into a fragranced solution and pour into a glass vase.
For winding down my day I looove this Just Feet Spa Lavender Foot Soak from Sally Hansen ($6.49) — not only a great bargain, but it makes for a soothing, stress-relieving fragrant soak — perfect end-of-the-day cap!
i think i’m in the minority but i actually hate the smell of lavender… it just smells high pitched and pungent, guess i have bad associations for some reason?
I sometimes use a little bit of Desert Essence’s lavender body lotion on my hands right before I go to bed and just spell them for maybe 20 seconds total, and I have an Amazing nights sleep!
