This French Connection dress is only $198! Sure it’s nearly 70% polyester (28% cotton), but for the price and cut you can’t really complain if you’re looking for a versatile LBD on a budget. Pair the knee length shift with a cardigan and wear it to work or add a cuff, a statement necklace, and killer pumps to wear it out! Not that black will ever go out of style, but the runways for S/S 2011 have been surprisingly light on the classic color (even at Alexander Wang!), so I’d opt for colored items to complement this dress. Timo Weiland has some beautiful, light merino wool cardigans (I picked a red one up from their men’s line, but it’s cut so slim that it fits), or you can opt to make the pop with your shoes – these perhaps?
