Jimmy Choo for H&M Fashions

I went to the VIP Jimmy Choo for H&M shopping event this past Friday — the day before the line officially launched in stores. It was super-fun (I got to meet Christian Siriano!), but incredibly chaotic (though the staff was AMAZING given the amount of people). I can’t imagine what it must have been like on the non-press event launch, especially given that the collection made its debut on a Saturday. People were literally spending thousands of dollars and snapping-up everything in sight (eBay? Were they shopping for friends!? Who knows….). The collection is very bling, bling with full-on sequin dresses and tops and most of the pieces are black. I was a little surprised about the sizing. Usually I find that H&M runs small (ie if you’re a size 2 usually, you’d be a 4 at H&M), but the Jimmy Choo pieces seemed to run very big on me. In fact I bought the dress that Olivia Wilde is wearing ($129), in XS and it’s still a bit big around the armpit-area. I love it though. It’s sparkly and upbeat without being tacky and it’s demure in the front, but va-va-voom backless!

What do you think about the Jimmy Choo for H&M line? Did you shop the collection on Saturday?

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?
