Nicholas Kirkwood Snake-Effect Leather Slingback Heels

Love these! I’m a huge fan of fluorescent colors when they’re used in moderation (I started collecting Deborah Marquit’s fabulous day-glow undergarments while still in High School), and these slingbacks from Nicholas Kirkwood ($689) do it beautifully. Am I the only one who would take Kirkwood and Atwood over Choo and Blahnik any day of the week!? These shoes are classic, yet completely original and memorable. I love the restrained nod to the 80s with the sculpted, popping heel and the snake-effect adds a nice textural element to the shoe.

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. Hi Sharon, I love Nicholas Kirkwood shoes also. I am in total agreement with you, they are better than Atwood, Jimmy Choo and

Blahnik. Over the last couple of years these other brands seem like they just have not moved forward with the trends. Louboutin has and then you have Kirkwood. I am glad you did this post I haven’t bought Blahnik in over 3 years.

  2. and GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI…..I love fierce shoes and Kirkwood is racing up the charts for me. I love Sergio Rossi too with his lovely colors. He just does not get enough love. Blahnik and Choo are very mummsey!
