Givenchy “Bahia” Clutch: Back to Black

Givenchy_bahia_clutch.jpg

The black clutch is a non-negotiable must for any snob worth her salt. But boring it needn’t be. Like this Bahia clutch with those graduated brass details. Looks like lots of buckles in a row, for toughened Art Deco flair. Whatever they are, I’m on board! Normally, I wouldn’t go for blatant brand lettering, but that little logo, nestled cozily beneath those buckles, is hushed enough. Anyway, it’s Givenchy! If you’re ever going to flaunt a logo, make it a long-standing power-player. When a classic bag comes with its own head-turning accessories, you’re getting the best of both worlds. This is an easy addition to make anything you wear jive: all you need to do now is add some rock ‘n’ roll heat. Better take action fast, this is one of those bags your friends will have wished they got to first! At Barneys New York for $1305.

Pair with: What says rocker more than a cuff worthy of a Viper Room groupie circa ’92? Alexander McQueen‘s exaggerated crystal and brass cuff would have gotten her VIP status. If these boldly molded flowers and a grinning skull don’t bring out the hotel room-trasher in you, nothing will. Alexander McQueen “Iris” Skull Cuff, $550.
