It’s never too early to start your tot on the alphabet. And I don’t mean to start flashing flash cards at them from birth. Or making them read at 9 months. My younger daughter benefited from early exposure to numbers and letters from her big sister. She started saying letters of the alphabet (in random order) as well as count (not necessarily sequentially) as soon as she can talk. Now that she’s in pre-school, all of these things that are familiar to her and floating around in her head are starting to come together. It’s like all the pieces of the puzzle are starting to make a coherent picture. This award winning alphabet animal plush book is fun and pressure free and a great introduction. There is an animal for each letter of the alphabet. At Amazon for $62.60.
