Beaba Babycook, One Step Babyfood Maker

beabababycook.jpg

I want to have another baby just so I can get one of these. I spent so much time making my own baby food and mainly because it requires so many different tools and pots. First I steam whatever I’m making, usually vegetables, then I put it in a food processor to puree it to the right consistency and I put it in freezer containers for later use because I don’t want to do this 5 times a day. When I need the food, I have to defrost, reheat, put it in a bowl and serve. OK, hello, the Beaba Babycook does all of that, everything except actually feeding your baby. It is so easy, you can do this each time you feed for maximum freshness. All you do is cut up the food and put it in the machine. It steams, purees and voila! Baby food is ready in 15 minutes while you’re building blocks with the cutie patutie. If your baby falls asleep or you’re just not ready, it will keep the food warm as well. This will cook meats, fish, fruits and veggies and also doubles as a steam heater to reheat any pre-cooked foods. Is this thing a life saver or what? Easy, healthy eating in one easy step. Worth every penny and more, $149.95 at Williams Sonoma. If you don’t want to do this at each feeding, get the Beaba Multiportion Freezer Tray for $19.95.

  1. I have this and I love it! I don’t make my 10-month-old’s meals in it every day; I use it about once a week. I buy fresh fruits or veggies and use this to make puree, which I either store in the fridge or freezer. It works really well.

  2. i have this and adore it as well! we use it for travel — you can still make your baby’s food without a kitchen. even after baby doesn’t need purees you can make steamed vegetables and other foods. well worth the price!
