Burberry Nylon Tote

Burberry_NylonTote.jpgicon

This is a fantastic alternative for a mommy bag. It probably will not work for those with infants because it does not have special bottle holding pockets but if you have toddlers and up, this lightweight and super fashionable nylon tote will make your life sassy and easy. Bright blue is THE big color this season so you will be on trend and looking fabulous. It is fully lined in nylon for easy clean ups and has a zip closure to keep all the knick knacks secure. It even has adjustable side for the inevitable expansion of stuff on your outings. For a designer bag, the price is incredible for $195. Also comes in beige and black but the bright blue will make the fashion statement you want when time does not permit you to put on the full regalia. At Burberry Nylon Tote at Saks Fifth Avenueicon for $195.

  1. I like this Burberry option. As long as it doesn’t have that awful plaid print for a lining on the inside! (I dont have kids yet, but have a new niece and always love looking at baby stuff)

I did just see the Dior baby bag on sale at NM, although it really doesn’t do anything for me and doesn’t seem very practical as its all white. But it might be nice for an alternative for neater Mom’s. I would rather use a more fabulous bag. My niece’s day care bag that they leave there is a fabulous Curious George bag.

If I had a kid I would consider the above Burberry (I just might anyway because I lOVE the color and it would be a good carry on, and for an every day basic baby bag, I really love the Anya Hindmarch baby bag. It’s even got labelled pockets!!! For a fun alternative, I would try AH’s one of her new red or blue bags, they are fabulous colors that really pop!

Also of course the classic YSL downtown bags, and other bags you guys have mentioned on the site….

Here’s the link to the Dior bag

  2. ACK! I just went to the link..it does have that awful plaid lining….ah but its such a great big size and I love the color and the price is right…..it would make a great back up carry on….argh!

I just get a headache when I am looking inside a bag and the linings are too busy. I prefer a more streamlined look. Also I prefer lighter colors for my liners. I have such a hard time with dark linings in bigger bags because it makes it so difficult to find stuff in my bags!!

I try to be organized with them and my organizer pockets I put stuff in are colored, but yeesh, for those times you just are in a rush and throwing junk in your bag….

A good frugal snob trick (well its REALLY ghetto, but it totally works) is using clear heavy duty freezer Ziploc bags with the eazy zip top. Then you can see everything in there. Its a life saver when you need stuff fast on the go!

For more style, I am dying to just totally load up on those labelled Anya Pockets in the fabulous metallic colors, but alas, those $145, $125 etc really start adding up….I am being really choosy in my purchases as of late, with the economy, my budget, but I also want to try and do my duty for the global economic climate by buying stuff! (in a very controlled manner, of course) 😉

  3. It appears Saks is out of the fabulous blue color, which was the selling point for me. The tan and black were the only two options, which is still great, but for those two colors and the type of bag, I would definitely opt for an Anya Hubner which also has the naplak zip outer pocket and the inner zip pocket which I find really convenient.
