Sneak Preview: Sang A S/S 2009

We’ve been fans of Sang A‘s line of sleek and chic bags since we discovered them last year.  Since then, we have been to her showroom multiple times (each time giggling and gossiping like 12 year olds with Sang A, sharing make up tips and of course wanting to steal each other’s clothes off our mutual backs!) and are continually impressed with her talent and sensibilities as a designer.  Sang A’s latest line (sneak preview for Bag Snob readers!) for Spring/Summer is like the designer herself, classic with a modern twist.  One of her most popular styles, Sang A Flash Parallelogram Clutch, is now available at Saks in black or silver patent ($645) and green crocodile $1,895.  Jump to see the new styles!

Sang A updates this timeless style in luxe crocodile skin with straps and contemporary hardware.

This starkly contrasting clutch is so eye catching.  I love the strap across the front, you can stick your hand in it to avoid the “football” hold that most people do with clutches.

Stay tuned for more from Sang A–  we will have more styles to preview when we’re in NYC for Fashion Week!

  1. I really like the color, the leather of the brownish croc handbag, but somehow the shape, the boxiness disturbs me a lot.

  2. The croco bag looks terrific! But it reminds me of Valextra Boston Bag. Tina – do you know the price range for Sang A’s croco?

  3. They are pricing out the new line right now as it is for Spring next year. Will keep you posted!

It is a bit like the Boston, which is a timeless style many designers have adapted to their own lines.

  4. I have exactly the same view on it as Mette, the shape of the croc handbag is not ideal, looks a bit vintage to me. But it seems they are on the right track and probably in few seasons time their bags will be really stylish:)
