Not in the clear yet? Transparent PVC and Lucite are on for Fall, and don’t get me wrong, the look is totally cute, but you have to ask yourself: what is this going to look like with all your crap in there? I would like to think my bag looks as good on the inside as it does on the outside; it’s just not the reality. The truth is, crumpled receipts, hair ties, random toys, and inevitable crumbs from half-eaten kids snacks abound my precious cargo.
That’s where the wit of 3.1 Phillip Lim‘s interior pouch comes into play. I like the idea of using the interior pouch for loose odds and ends and the outer pouch for cash and coins, though at this price, the 31-Minute bag isn’t a viable option to be a trinket organizer. For a night out, on the other hand, if you can keep your things as streamlined, organized, and sharp as the bag itself, this is a fun piece. (Though I would probably opt for Charlotte Olympia’s sharper Perspex version) On ShopBop for $575.
