When Kusmi came out with their BB Detox, I drank copious amounts of it (So good! Even better and more refreshing than their original). It was summertime about two years ago so I made an iced version. I can’t know for sure because there are always multiple factors at play, but around when I started drinking it, my skin was constantly completely clear despite all the sweat and grime that comes with summer. It never hurts for me to increase my water intake and this one also happens to include lots of extra natural ingredients known for their wellness properties – namely green tea, maté, dandelions (high in vitamins C and A), rooibos (known to help with weight loss in addition to clearing skin), and grapefruit. It’s really refreshing…I love the grapefruit! Note, though, that even though it’s a “detox” tea, it has caffeine. While I used the regular bags to make my iced versions, the brand now has released a version specifically meant to be iced – the same tea, just in the large muslin format making it super easy to brew.
Each 0.3 oz. muslin bag makes a one-liter batch of iced tea. While I don’t have the Kusmi carafe, I have similar glass one that’s also cold and heat-resistant. I like to make the tea with hot water and then let it cool in the fridge (I find it way more flavorful than using cold water, though it does require planning ahead.). The tea is flavorful enough to enjoy on its own but it’s nice to add citrus fruits or mint leaves for visual appeal if you have guests. Also note that if you buy the carafe from Kusmi, it comes with an oversized filter so you could use the loose leaf BB Detox. Kusmi BB Detox Tea 10 large muslin tea bags ($17.90), iced tea carafe ($25.50), and filter ($24.95) available at Kusmi.
