I spy something awesome! If you love Mark Cross’ lunch box bags (aka the Grace box), which I do, of course, then you will go crazy over the Benchley Binocular bag. That’s because it’s more functional, thanks to an easy-access lid, and way, way cool, thanks to an uncommon shape and sportive attitude.
The top opens right up, making it so easy get inside when carrying it with the shoulder strap. But even as a top-handle style, you can still get what you need by holding the handle and popping the lid, no problem. It possesses a luggage-inspired quality, thanks to the old-fashioned hardware closure and boxy shape, but the small sizes makes the bag so adorable, I’m feeling irrational love for it.
You can go one of two distinctly different routes: energetic and playful with colorblocked blue and orange, plus a red shoulder strap for an extra punch. Or pristine and more grown-up white. It’s impossible to compare: the colorblocked and the white have equally amazing merits, but for different reasons and they’re for obviously opposing moods. Speaking of moods, either color can match yours: I love the fact that this versatile box bag can go in various directions, from formal and sophisticated to festival-chic. Available in multicolor blue
