Fabletics is the much buzzed-about, surprisingly affordable activewear line co-founded by Kate Hudson. Everything is priced under $100, and most items are priced way under $100. The line-up includes sports bras, shorts, leggings, hoodies, tops, jackets, cardigan wraps, and tanks. For the most part, there are no crazy designs; it’s more focused on easy-to-wear essentials and layering pieces, and the collection also includes to- and from-the-gym pieces like scarves.
There’s something unique about the way you shop the Fabletics website, however. The site offers personalized outfit recommendations based on style and workout preferences. Everyone can take the quiz and see the results, but if you choose VIP membership when you check out, you’ll get serious extra bang for your buck: a complete look that includes a top and a bottom for around $50 (save up to 40% off retail price). VIP members also save on individual items and receive various other discount perks. The catch? Enrolling signs you up into their monthly club, but there’s no obligation to buy. You can skip any month you wish. Personally I’m not into monthly clubs, even the ones without obligation…I get so many emails it’s not inconceivable that one would get lost in the shuffle, and I’ve never been one to shop on a schedule. Luckily the site is still affordable if you’re shopping as a non-member, and everyone gets free shipping on orders over $49.95. I’m in love with the outfit above. The Temecula Vest is one of my fave workout finds…so cute, right!? And even without the discount it clocks in at only $49.95.
My daughter ordered from them in August, and I was unaware that when you ordered from them, they charged you $49.50 a month whether you ordered from them or not. I did not catch it on my credit card statement for six months. Costly mistake. Maybe I signed up incorrectly. But just be aware.
