The Elliot has been on my radar for a while now. It’s easy and classic and doesn’t have a closure with impossible hardware (ahem, PS11 front-flap bag, I hate you). Now that I’m almost exclusively using crossbody bags these days, as a city girl living in Taipei, I’m ready to make the leap and go for the miniaturized Proenza Schouler style.
A classic crossbody might sound like an oxymoron but it’s actually not, and investing in a good crossbody is a move that will provide plenty of wear and longevity. The Eliot is something I can always bring out for trips and vacations, sporting events, weekend activities…the list goes on. The palette reads timeless, too. I’m all about grays these days, and I love the fact that this also has warm tones of taupe, so you can go either way and remain neutral. In colorblocked suede and leather, you make a statement without pigeon-holing yourself. Because who wants a wear-everywhere bag that does that? Proenza Schouler Elliot on Forzieri for $1,295.
Pair with: A great basic black bodysuit – like Rick Owens’ Lilies stretch-jersey one – can function like the glue in your fall-through-late spring wardrobe, serving as a foundation that holds the rest of your look together. On NET-A-PORTER for $420.
The bag looks so awesome but why I should be so damn expensive 🙁
