Fashion Week has wrapped! But sadly not before another few inches of snow was dropped on us. Luckily designers showed some worthy looks on the runway, including killers brows and bird nest-inspired hair. See below for the major standouts!
Proenza Schouler: Abstract expressionism was the inspiration for this season’s beauty at Proenza Schouler and that was translated very blatantly in the graphic eye. MAC Chromacake was applied with fingers in the inner corner of the eye and then flicked across for the artistic effect. Nothing most of us would want to re-create, but it worked beautifully with the collection.
Marc by Marc Jacobs: This look is an example on how to rock killer hair in the winter. All of the models walked the runway in berets so it was key to have a simple look that worked well with a hat. In keeping with the running trend, hair got the wet look treatment with Redken Full Frame 07 Mousse
Narciso Rodriguez: If you ever wanted inspiration to put down your tweezers, look no further than the brows at Narciso Rodriguez’s show (above left). The style was androgynous, but still soft enough to have feminine appeal. The key product? Shiseido’s Eyebrow Styling Compact. Three shades were used to create the strong brow.
rag & bone: It was bird’s nest chic at rag & bone! This season, the look was sculpted with sharp bangs (it almost seems as though the models cut their own hair) and a hairnet was put over the hair to finish off the nest effect.
