Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier are on a hot streak. This bag is one of the best and most intriguing pieces to come from MARC by Marc Jacobs in a while. I love the triangular shape, topped with a diverging ring handle; it makes for a super-cool effect. But usually when you’ve got such an unusual design going on, you have to compromise with a lack of pragmatism. Not here!
One side has a large zipper pocket that is big enough for basically everything you need, all the time, so you’ll barely have to mess with the rest. Two zippers on either side of the handle open up to a main compartment, large enough for an entire day’s adventure. A circular top handle may not be what you want to hold for the duration of the day, but not to worry: it comes with a handy shoulder strap. Even when the tote is on your shoulder, the offbeat details maintain their appeal, so the result is seriously the best of both worlds. Even better is the price.
