I’m kinda shocking myself by how much I like this bag. We all can appreciate a few rays of sunshine right about now, as the February doldrums fully kick in, but usually something that features such an overt print (and yes, it is a print; the three-dimensional optical effect makes it even cooler) will start to get on my nerves after a few minutes. Not this. It’s actually growing on me the more I look at it.
Think about it in the context of an outfit. While seeing it by itself, what with the bright yellow leather and bold, graphic black and white print, it’s a bit much, so envision the big picture. This will amp up a neutral look in an instant, bring a twist to classic pieces, and make a ho-hum ensemble conversation-worthy. Plus, the small size and simple pouch shape keep it ultimately toned down and easy to use. Then again, the top-zipper design gives it the vibe of a cosmetic pouch, which devalues a bag for me, but the overall effect still reads “real clutch.” And such a perky color makes for a mood-boosting effect, which is always a good thing.
