Well, hello, Vince. Hardly recognized you. Vince isn’t exactly a brand known for their bags, but by the looks of this hobo, maybe they should be. They are featuring cutouts that have been done in a surprising way, and I love it. Rectangular perforations in multiple widths along the side of the bag remind me of old-school film negatives, but there’s nothing else old-school about this bag. The effect is fully modern.
Actually, it’s the wide shoulder strap with partial cutout detailing that’s the best feature. It’s tough to make a leather strap feel full of interest, and this one is airy yet intriguing. And then there’s the practicality of this semi-slouchy leather bag. The shape is designed to be useful on the daily, which makes the slight element of novelty so nice – especially when it comes to a casual bag. Vince bag exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue for $895.
