The fact that Spanish label Loewe is now being sold at cult-favorite and kooky-collaboration mecca Opening Ceremony says a lot. The lush leather brand has come a long way in the last few years. Now that Stuart Vevers has moved on to Coach and young Brit Jonathan Anderson is in, with his first collection for the house now hitting stores, it represents an even more contemporary era for them.
I am all about this shape. After becoming quite comfortable with soft hobos and slouchier styles, it’s great to see Loewe doing a seriously structured bag. Especially one that I happen to love. The Triangle is hard and striking, without being tough or unwelcoming. On the contrary. Thanks to this sunny, searing shade of yellow, it strikes the right balance of strong lines and cheerful color. Such a bag also makes me eager to see what Anderson has up his sleeve next. Loewe triangle bag at Opening Ceremony for $1,690.
Pair with: Play up this modern moment with Maison Martin Margiela‘s belted wool and silk-blend dress. With an asymmetrical element, it’s got both class and edge to spare. On NET-A-PORTER for $980.
