I’m just going to call it like I see it. This is the most fantastic bag ever from Jil Sander. And after a hearty streak of minimal goodness, that’s not a small feat. But just look at it! The irregular, bubble-style laser cuts are so fun, yet the motif manages to remain sophisticated. Round, punched-out dots make for a total ‘60s-retro feel, while with the lean, north-south shape and, yes, minimal design, it’s also a hundred-percent modern.
It’s hard to make a cutout handle work well, but it clearly does here. With an over-the-shoulder chain strap option, you won’t be in a jam when you really need your hands free. Either way, it all looks polished and purposeful (sometimes the odd chain add-in feels out of place). This just-off shade of winter white is also great for most of the year, and high-contrast, high-impact leather magenta lining brings in a pop of color, so the vibe isn’t completely stark. Finally, with a convenient magenta pouch included, there’s nothing more to say other than I love this bag so much. Jil Sander bag on NET-A-PORTER for $1,660.
Pair with: Modern and classic, Adam Lippes’ wrap, midi skirt in subtly casual indigo blue denim will elevate your easy, breeze-filled days. On MATCHESFASHION.com for $630.
I saw the same bag at http://neatstacks.com but it’s so hard to tell if they are authentic or not – especially after checking the price on the main website. I once had an experience buying expensive fakes and I lost the plot.
But omg, it’s on my Santa Wish list.
The bag looks amazing and it suits the price. have to keep dream about this bag!
