I will always love the use of cool hardware, especially on a super-functional tote. The “safety buckle” motif is now almost as famous as the designer himself, Christopher Kane, or at least intrinsically linked to his designs, from his wild, belted dresses from Spring ’07 to this season’s smaller, sleeker bags. But there’s something that especially clicks (pun intended) about the chunky, plastic buckle detail on an easy north-south tote. It’s nice to have a touch of something unique, even when you are feeling pragmatic. (And sometimes especially when you’re feeling pragmatic.) And pragmatic it is. Leather hues don’t get more neutral than greige, the straps are just long enough to fit comfortably over a thick jacket, and this is a very spacious bag…which could be a good or bad thing. My days of needing and desiring huge bags are over – I seem to have permanently streamlined my days – but this roomy scale could come in handy for work and travel. Christopher Kane bag on MATCHESFASHION.com for $1,237.
Pair with: Go neutral all over, and get in on DKNY + Cara Delevingne’s cool collaboration with this chicly casual pantsuit, complete with supremely sporty details. Satin crepe blazer, $355, and tapered pants, $265, on NET-A-PORTER.
Nice post! Look at my latest bag I bought online just at $65.00. It’s called Aldo Adelaide Top Handle Bag http://www.trend-labs.com/i/B00M48ZG2S 🙂 You can’t realize the quality of it until you touch it with your bare hand 😉
