Nail art – it’s not going anywhere! The difference is that this season the nail art is a lot more subtle than in seasons past. Sure there were some kooky ones like at Desigual where they covered their models’ nails in what looked like paint splatter (I was told it was inspired by an over-stuffed bouquet of flowers), but most of the looks I’ve been seeing are delicate like, for example, at Rebecca Minkoff where nails were watercolor-inspired.
Marissa Webb had my favorite nail art. She coordinated her models’ nail tips with their eyes which were both an icy shimmery silver…so sexy.
Monique Lhuillier’s nail art also stood out because of how crazy natural it looked despite it’s bi-polar color design. Again, don’t be afraid of nail art because you think it automatically means something bold and flashy! You can be a bit adventurous while still achieving a refined look.
Rebecca Minkoff’s models had nails that were watercolor-inspired. Out of all the subtle nail art looks this one seems the easiest to re-recreate. It was achieved with essie Bikini So Teeny
