Textured hair was a big trend in Milan and it made for some very interesting looks. Here’s a peek at some of the most memorable runway hair looks.
Even at Prada, where a ponytail was created, texture played a key role in the look. Hair was roughly pulled back and side pieces were molded to the models’ faces for a sideburn-like effect. Redken Mess Around 10, a glossy but moveable paste, was a key product to get this look.
Giorgio Armani’s hair look was inspired by his collection’s textiles. Texturizing mousse (Oribe makes a good one called Surfcomber Tousled Texture Mousse), was the key product for this look, which was made up of three braids.
Marni went the just washed/gym hair route for their textured hair look, which was inspired by ’50s men’s hairstyles. TIGI Bed Head Superstar Queen For a Day Thickening Spray was applied onto the models’ roots and blow-dried to help build the elevation you see in the front, while Frédéric Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing and Forming Wax is what gave the look that greasy finish.
