The natural trend that started in New York and continued in London was also prevalent in Milan, but it was mainly focused on the lips. A number of designers went with elaborate eye and/or hair looks, but kept the lips matte and neutral. Here’s a look at some of the standouts!
Fendi showed 3-D blue eyes (made from blue leather swatches!), but used nothing but Dior Nude Rouge
Jil Sander was one of the few designers that didn’t part their models’ hair in the middle instead opting for a side part with a neutral, matte lip. I’m always fan of a little gloss or shimmer, but for a great matte check out Armani Lip Maestro
Surprisingly it wasn’t a black smoky eye this year at Cavalli. Instead models had a brown smokey eye with silver highlights. Lips were bare, again so as to not overpower. It just goes to show sometimes there’s nothing better than a little bit of lip balm to keep lips moisturized and that’s it! It’s not particularity chic, but I swear by Blistex
