One of the most anticipated beauty collections every season is out and as always Tom Ford doesn’t disappoint. While it’s the face palette that has gotten the most attention, as someone who usually prefers a sheer veil of moisture on my lips rather than intense color, it’s his two new lip products that I’m most excited about. They come in the classic white and gold packaging – I love the black, but this is so much better for summer…who wouldn’t want to whip this out from their clutch? Called Lip Shimmer, they retail for $49 each and are available in Moonlight and Solar Gold. I’ve been wearing Moonlight on bare lips, but it’s so lightweight if you’re looking to add a touch of shimmer over your lip color these would easily work. Like all of Ford’s lip products his new balms smell great without having a taste, are moisturizing (they’ve got Vitamins C and E and shea butter in their formulation), and never crack. Of course $49 is not chump change for a lip balm, but if you can afford it this is a fantastic little luxury that lives up to the brand’s hype.
