Size matters. Like I would be so in love with this Stella McCartney clutch if it weren’t so GIANT. And I mean this thing is big, not merely oversized. It’s actually the same scale as a carpet bag, just fashioned in clutch form.
Which brings me to why? Why does a clutch ever need to be this size? Unless the intended goal is a bag that’s awkward and unnecessary, I can’t see a reason. Stella should have designed it 10” across, and then you’ve got a cute daytime clutch. Instead, it comes in at a whopping 15.5″ wide by 9.5″ tall, which is bigger than any bag I am currently using now, clutch or not.
On the flipside, I adore the print so much, I just might be tempted to deal with the goofy proportions. Styling can make a big difference. On the Spring runway, it was shown neatly folded over, which contains the fabric and makes it more manageable, so as long as you carry it that way, it is okay. Then there’s the issue of price: $1,165 for printed cotton feels downright inappropriate. Catch me when it’s on sale and I’ll be folding and tucking this clutch to chicer proportions. Stella McCartney floral-print clutch on Farfetch for $1,165.
Pair with: Pink and navy is a timelessly charming combination, and Adam Lippes’ lace jumpsuit adds a modern silhouette to the mix. On NET-A-PORTER for $1,380.

Oh wow…yes that bag is large and in charge. Agree that the pattern and color is super attractive, though.
