It’s been a while since I have looked at a Loro Piana bag, which is surprising considering how much I’ve loved the quintessential Italian house – and still do, thanks to their incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail. So much so, their pieces can be compared to those of Hermès. Loro Piana is not best known for bags, of course, but the nearly century-old brand (established in 1924) put the same care into their leather goods as they do their prized scarves.
The Bellevue is the one that grabbed my attention because it’s a simple tote with the simplest of details, but it’s got just enough impact to evoke real personality. Gently curved lines give it character, velvety pebbled leather welcomes wear and more wear, and the pull-tab closure is just neutral enough to keep people guessing. Multiple compartments and zippered pockets offer the organization I demand. Easy to wear and full of luxurious touches: here’s an instant classic at hand. Loro Piana Bellevue on My Theresa for $4,425.
Pair with: Inject some modern edge with Chloé’s Susanna sandals. A quartet of bold buckles brings toughness to a classic sandal silhouette. On Farfetch for $955.
