Shorts can be your best friend or worst enemy, depending on how and where you wear them. For the office, I go for the trouser fit. For the weekend, cutoffs and a white tee. They have to fit just right so you don’t look like you’re cutting off circulation, but they can’t fall off you either because there’s not much material there to begin with. As this winter refuses to leave, more and more people are throwing on a pair of stockings and just going for it with the shorts. At SXSW this year, the shorts and tights combo was everywhere. Given it was about 40 degrees at the beginning of the fest, this was a pure survival technique, but as it warmed up, the stockings stayed on. Some nailed it like Lea Michele, pairing dark shorts with boots and a bomber jacket. Others were spotted looking a little mismatched with cutoffs and black tights. Miranda Kerr, of course, pulls this look off flawlessly, but it’s difficult to do without mile long-legs and a glam squad. What do you guys think of this odd couple match – snob or slob?

I like it with the boots, hate it with heels…
Shorts and tights is just plain hot and sexy. Love the look.

I can’t say I am a big fan on wearing hose with shorts. However, I do kind of like the shorts with the blazer and hose look at top. I don’t think hose would keep your legs warm enough in the colder weathers to continue to wear them. However, the way I like to dress up shorts is to pair them with Bandelettes. It is such a sexy look wearing Bandelettes and shorts together, plus it gives your shorts a little extra length. You can check them out at http://www.bandelettes.com
