Little Luxury: The Good Home Co.’s Line Dried Scented Clothespins

clothes pins

It’s miserably cold and snowy here in NYC, and my plans to escape to Miami keep running into hurdles so I did the only thing I know how and indulged in a few little luxuries to cheer myself up. Yes, yes I know material things will never bring true happiness, but when it’s so cold that buying almond milk a block away is tedious, it really is the little things that make all the difference. With that in mind I ordered a set of The Good Home Co.‘s line dried scented clothespins ($12). These actually worked double duty as it made my mother happy to learn that I was – gasp – doing something somewhat domestic! I line dry most of my clothes so as to avoid possible shrinkage and these clothespins come with an extra kick – they come scented in Lavender, Beach Days, Pure Grass, Line Dried or Cedar. You can also use them to perfume a drawer, laundry bag, gym bag, suitcase…pretty much anything! When it comes to braving the cold, there’s nothing better than putting on a beautifully scented piece of clothing, especially if right before, for a few minutes, you lay it on your heater…

  1. This is an awesome idea, and I love the little bottles the clothespins come in! But you know these are incredibly easy and cheap to make, right? You can pick (or blend) your favorite essential oils, stick them in a jar with some clothespins, and after a day have wonderful-smelling clothespins that you can re-scent after the smell is gone. Eco-friendly and wallet-friendly, and you get to scent them however you want to! Just my two cents.
