Don’t ask me to pronounce the name of this brand. Which is going to be a problem because when I start carrying this bag, everyone will be asking. Lithuanian-born Victoria Andrejeva is a shoe designer first and foremost, and the name Cherevichkiotvichki stands for A Shoe by Victoria in the old Slavic language. Luckily, the designer has a tongue-in-cheek attitude about it: “I realize that the name is near impossible to pronounce, but hey! Who said it should be easy?”
Inspired her socialist USSR upbringing, the minimalist London-based and Italian-made line is all about understatement and function (no sequins or jeweled accents here). This deceptively simple shoulder bag has just the right amount of rustic charm to allow you to infuse your own sense of style to it.
The black leather version is made from horse hide, which might give some the heebie-jeebies, but the way it promises to distress will be pretty amazing. But white is where I would invest. The cross-hatchet texture is crazy-cool and imbues a stark white bag some real depth. A gorgeous messenger bag that comes with a rather powerful political statement – this makes for the ultimate everyday accessory. Available in white ($754) and black ($933) on LN-CC.
Pair with: Bundle up in style with Moncler’s quilted and ruffled parka. With a partial leopard print, it keeps you warm – and in style. On Ssense for $1,100.
