When I spoke with Gucci Westman backstage at Rag & Bone she told me that this season was the first time the brand had opted for a colored lip. She was quick to point out however that the Rag & Bone girl would never wear gloss so it was kept matte and a vibrant orange was used. The color was interestingly enough inspired by the World Cup in Brazil and was created using Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Carnival and ColorBurst Matte Balm in Mischievous (out in January). The rest of the face was kept bare and the hair had that too-cool-for-school wet look (yes, it came back this season!), so despite the lip popping it not only worked fantastically on the runway, it’s something we could easily wear in the “real world.”
