It has been a few weeks since I went to the launch event for the Fall 2013 Clé de Peau Beauté collection and I’ve been dying to share everything I learned! The stunning rose-inspired collection was showcased in a Chelsea flower shop to hit the message of the market fresh, floral inspiration home. There are new Satin Eye Colors, Lip Liner Pencils, and Extra Rich Lipsticks all of which are rose-inspired. The packaging is to die; it’s so understated yet obviously luxe – no other brand’s packaging aside from Tom Ford’s is. The shadow compacts also have a soft rose design on them. The formulations are equally beautiful. The eye shades are formulated with argan tree oil so they glide on smooth – ditto for the lip products, which glide on without leaving you the least bit dry or sticky (and I’m not someone who likes wearing products on my lips…). They also now have such a wide variety of colors you can find everything from a soft to a saturated wash. The products were used on a number of Fall runways including 3.1 Phillip Lim and Rochas, as well as a new serum they’ve launched called Le Serum. Between their serum and illuminator (an all-time favorite product of mine), it’s impossible not to glow (even if you feel anything but glowing…). I’m loyal to the illuminator I first tried nearly two years ago, but they’ve got a new one. Has anyone tried it? I want it! Even though it looks like it would be a better fit for someone with darker skin, my experience with the product is that it’s so subtle it works on every skin type.
