All it takes is a striking red stripe to freshen up graphic black and white for fall. And the thin leather bar isn’t just about looks either – it acts as a strap to tuck the flap into (there’s also a magnetic closure on the underside to keep everything together). Sadly, that oddly narrow flap makes the whole bag look a little off balance. More importantly, the top handle design prevents it from being the easy, on the go bag we all dream of. It would be a challenge to get anything out of it when the flap is open and you’re holding the handle. You’d have to set it down to find what you’re looking for, and the open pocket on the back doesn’t offer much space to throw your must-haves in. But it’s not as if the duo behind The Row are known for their pragmatism. This is all about the statement, and it’s certainly a dramatic one. Pre-order at Bergdorf Goodman for $2,950.
