Shopping for sunscreen can be overwhelming. I put it on every morning, but I sweated it all off at the gym recently only to realize that my bottle of moisturizing SPF from Dr. Perricone was pretty much empty….so annoying because I have about 10000000 bottles of sunscreen at home! Luckily there’s a Sephora a block away from my gym because I cannot be in the sun without being properly protected (though UVA rays – which cause aging, not burning – are just as bad as the burning UVB ones). I rarely buy the same product twice since so much of what I do revolves around writing about new products so I roamed the aisles looking for anything that said moisturizing and SPF (how do they not have these together in one section!!). Then add to that, that you have to make sure you have one that protects against both UVA and UVB and the whole process takes way more time than it should, which leads me to Suntegrity Skincare.
What I love about this brand is that they were rated #1 by EWG – not to knock the Kate Somerville Serum Sunscreen I ended up buying, but I love that I don’t have to think twice with Suntegrity because EWG (The Environmental Working Group is an American environmental organization that specializes in research and advocacy in the areas of toxic chemicals, agricultural subsidies, public lands, and corporate accountability), has done all the work for me. Their website has a ton of information on what to look for and how to avoid being miss-let along with product recommendations, one of which is Suntegrity Skincare.
Their stamp of approval means you can trust the product without a doubt, which is why their 5-in-1 moisturizing face sunscreen is what I’m taking with me to Vegas (it works as a primer, treatment product, and cover-up in addition to protecting and hydrating the skin – basically a BB cream). I tried it once to make sure it wasn’t chalky and it blends in well both color-wise and texturally…win!
