Like all tiaras, this is an accessory that you pull out mostly for special occasions. It’s no ordinary princess crown, though. More like something a mythological figure would wear – maybe the Greek goddess of the forest, Artemis. While it’s from Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, the branches possess a dark romanticism that seems almost fitting for winter. Place the gold-tone brass band behind your head so the branches grow upwards like an evil queen’s tiara. It’ll sink its teeth comfortably into your hair (I’m imagining full, wavy locks cascading down). At nearly two grand, it’s certainly high-priced for a gold-tone headband, but this is so unique it just might be worth it. What do you think? Available at Barneys New York for $1,815.
