Just when Fendi had gotten so damn good! Is it possible we spoke too soon? I’m not writing off Lagerfeld and friends just yet, even though this logo-decked shoulder style looks like a relic from 1997 – and not in a cool way. One thing I do like is the price. It’s extra “Fs” for a fraction of the ordinary Fendi tag! So here’s how to handle a sassy number such as this, one that offers no apologies for its garish (albeit, summery) way with color and texture: treat it like a pouch and chuck it in your roomy tote or carryon bag. Only half the strap is detachable, which means you can convert it to a wristlet. But would you use it as one? I’d be more likely to use that chain-strap as a keychain. You tell me: is this burst of sunrise hues and brand stampage a steal or a rip-off?
On Luisa via Roma for $353.
Pair with: If you’re going to take it with you, toss it in a big, muted shopper like Prada’s fringe-dipped tote.
At Bergdorf Goodman for $2,895.
Hideous. Not only does it look 1997, it looks like a $12 canal street bag a 13 yr old would carry. #fail
I think this is cute. It’s not too garish because of its size. Just a fun little colorful accessory.
